The social network industry is preparing to welcome a new project, this time different from all the others as it proposes a specific age group for registration.
It is called Twigis and it was designed for children, offering a controlled and safe virtual space, as well as rich in educational activities.
Twigis is a social network for children aged between 6 and 12 years, therefore fully in the school period; the platform is opening in Italy at this time, strengthened by the experience already gained in other countries.
Under the name of “Tweegee“, in fact, the same project was also launched in Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Russia, Turkey, arriving in Italy in these days with the name Twigis, more intuitive for local kids.
What should be the strong point of this new social network is the constant presence of a team of moderators, in order to preliminarily vet everything you wish to write and share online on the platform.
Another guarantee given to the parents of young subscribers is knowing that there is an open and constant dialogue between the social network’s staff and the Postal Police agents, to track down any wrongdoers, ban ambiguous or harassing profiles, and to report everything to the competent authorities.

The privacy level is high, with mechanisms such as the exclusion of cookies so as not to allow automatic recognition when landing on the sites.
The project is also financed through advertising, present on the site pages; however, there is a lot of attention for the campaigns to be accepted and proposed, to avoid unhealthy products or diseducative messages.
On a theoretical level, therefore, Twigis seems to have all the right credentials to become a new virtual square suitable for younger children, with the possibility of exchanging messages, commenting on their school life, and engaging in over 4000 instructive and educational online games.
