Facebook is introducing Shared Albums: here’s how they work and what they are.
Facebook has announced a new feature for its pages. The new Shared Albums are launching.
This new way of uploading photos on Facebook will be useful in all those circumstances where, for example, you want to post images from events attended by many people.
Through Shared Albums, therefore, multiple Facebook users will be able to upload photos to the same album.
The administrator – so to speak – will always be the person who created the album, but photos can come from up to 50 different accounts, called “contributors”.
Each person will also be able to upload a maximum of 200 photos within the same album, with the potential to create albums of up to 10,000 photos each.
Tags and privacy settings can be adjusted by the person who originally created the album.
This way, for example, you can group all the photographic material related to a family or town festival; however, the practical applications of this novelty could be truly numerous, with the advantage of finding material made available by up to 50 people in a single album.
Shared Albums made their debut in the past few hours, initially only on a limited number of accounts on the social network’s English-speaking platforms.
In the coming weeks, the novelty will certainly arrive on Italian profiles as well.
