**Rumors** from the tablet sector suggest **HTC** is engaged in the upcoming release of a **Windows 8 tablet**.
There are no official confirmations yet, and the companies involved in these previews have not commented. However, an **HTC tablet** is rumored to be under development.
The news comes from the analysis firm **NPD DisplaySearch**, which, at a conference held a few days ago in Taipei, discussed a supposed **HTC tablet** designed to run on the **Windows 8** operating system.
The news was then picked up by the magazine **Focus Taiwan** and has since spread globally, along with details about the technical specifications this tablet might feature.
Reports mention a 10.1-inch multitouch display with Full HD 1080p resolution, likely produced by LG Display. The screen for Apple’s iTV is also rumored to be manufactured by LG.
Nothing else is known about this **HTC tablet** developed in collaboration with **Microsoft**, except that, according to rumors, production has already begun, and an official launch of the tablet is expected by the end of the year.
As mentioned at the beginning, neither **HTC** nor **Microsoft** have released any statements on the matter, so we will have to wait for the coming months to learn more.
