Amazon has finally announced the availability in the Italian market of Kindle Fire HD 8.9 inch, the new tablet with a larger screen and ultra-fast connectivity.
The display is indeed 8.9 inches with a resolution of 1920×1200 at 254 ppi and features vivid and vibrant colors, with support for the Imagination SGX544 graphics engine.
The processor is a TI OMAP 4470 which Amazon describes as powerful, as much as the graphics engine just mentioned.
There are two stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus audio and two dual-band Wi-Fi antennas with MIMO technology.
To use this tablet for video calls, the front HD camera comes into play, naturally also useful for taking photos.
Finally, Amazon claims a battery life of over 10 hours of use, thanks to the long-lasting battery.
There are two available storage options: you can choose between the 16 GB version and the 32 GB version. For extra space, Amazon offers its cloud service, always useful.
Equipped with a Bluetooth module, it is also perfect for connecting wireless headphones, for listening to music or audiobooks.
Everything is contained in only 9 millimeters of thickness and 567 grams of weight.

The price of Kindle Fire HD 8.9 inch is 269 euros for the 16 GB model, while it is 299 euros for the 32 GB version.
