Olipad 3, Olivetti’s new Android tablet

The technical specifications of a new Olivetti tablet called Olipad 3, arriving at the end of May, have been unveiled.

Alongside the Olipad Graphos, Olivetti has concurrently introduced another tablet, named Olipad 3. Nothing is known about the price yet as the company has not officially revealed it, but you will only have to wait a little longer to find out, as the Olipad 3 will go on sale in a few days, starting May 28th.
Regarding the purely technical specifications, a noteworthy combination is immediately apparent: alongside the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, there is the presence of the 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 T30S processor.
The RAM is 1 GB, while the internal memory is 16 GB, exactly like the Olipad Graphos.
The display, however, is much larger: it is a 10-inch multitouch LCD screen with an HD resolution of 1280×800 pixels.

Despite this, it offers good handling and lightness, the latter mainly due to the tablet’s reduced thickness, which reaches a maximum of 8.4 millimeters.
A camera is included, with more than adequate specifications, being 8 megapixels.
It can be inferred that, between the technical specifications and the power provided by the processor, this tablet possesses good potential and speed, especially for running graphics-intensive content.
Finally, connectivity is ensured by 3G HSPA+ modules at 21 Mbps, WiFi, and optionally – upon specific customer request – NFC technology can also be integrated.
