The Huawei Ascend P1 S doesn’t immediately impress with its price or the use of a specific processor (though notable), but rather with its remarkable thinness. Let’s find out more.

Presented at CES 2012, the new smartphone Huawei Ascend P1 S immediately garnered attention for its extremely reduced dimensions in terms of thinness: its profile is indeed only 6.68 millimeters.
Despite this, it manages to house a large 1,800 mAh battery, an excellent companion for frequent calls and mobile web browsing.
Regarding the processor, a 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex-A9 has been installed, suggesting this new smartphone doesn’t compromise on power either.
The operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and in terms of RAM, we note 1 GB.
Also noteworthy is the display, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD with a resolution of 960×540 pixels and Gorilla Glass technology, ensuring greater resistance to scratches and accidental impacts.
The photo/video capabilities also match a high-end smartphone: the main camera is 8 megapixels, with LED flash support.
The secondary, front-facing camera is 1.3 megapixels.
The former allows for Full HD 1080p video recording, while the latter promises HD 720p video recordings.
3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth complete the package, with specific reference to connectivity.
While the available colors are already known (cherry blossom pink, white, and black), the price of the Huawei Ascend P1 S and its release date have not yet been officially announced.
