iPad 2 is the new object of desire of American geeks: in the first weekend of release of the new iPad, it seems we can talk about a million pieces sold. A shadow on iPad 2 but it is there and it seems to be connected to the bad screen backlight.
On the one hand, if the first estimates are drawn up on the iPad 2 sales – and these are very flattering figures – on the other hand, however, the first rumours are starting to circulate iPad2 reviews who point their finger at the faulty screen.
Let's start with the sales: according to the first statistics which – it must be specified – do not come from Apple but according to commercial operators and survey companies, as many as one million units ended up in the hands of buyers in the first weekend of the tablet's release alone.
An even greater success than the launch of the first version of iPad.
Wanting to draw up an "identikit" of the buyer of iPad 2, at the moment it seems that these are mostly loyal users of Apple-branded products, some of whom already have experience using the first iPad. However, there is even more uncertainty about these data than about sales results. This uncertainty will likely soon be dispelled by official communications from Apple.
The ones were also sold out iPad 2 accessories, already sold out in most stores.
However, among the great results and satisfactions for the launch of the renewed tablet, some shadows that cloud everything seem to appear on the horizon: the first smartphones are starting to arrive iPad 2 reviews who point the finger at screens, considered defectiveThe problem would be in the backlighting, as the site initially pointed out Engadget. However, subsequently many other voices have been raised in this sense, confirming a less than exciting iPad 2 screen performance.
In practice, these defects would translate into "spots" of bright light, near the edge of the frame. This would be very evident when viewing images or videos with dark tones, as can be seen from the video at the end of this article. This is just one of many video on iPad2, so the defect appears to be very widespread indeed.
Perhaps the solution (absolutely palliative) could be to adjust the screen brightness to levels that can mitigate the defect which, obviously, would remain as such.
Apple has not yet officially expressed itself in this sense, so we are waiting for statements to understand what to do and to know if the iPad 2 release date in Italy – set for March 25 – will it be respected or will it be postponed to try to address the screen problem.
