The Wikileaks app, useful for receiving updates on new Wikileaks publications, was deleted from the App Store after only three days.

Wikileaks banned from the App Store as well: the application, released three days ago, has already been removed from the Apple store. Igor Barinov, the programmer unaffiliated with Wikileaks who developed it, submitted the application to the App Store, which is useful for receiving alerts and updates regarding the insertion of new content on Wikileaks. The app’s price was 1.59 euros but, according to the New York Times, citing an official statement from Apple’s Trudy Muller, it would have violated some of the Apple Store’s provisions. For this reason, it was removed from the system.
Also available on the Android Market, the app is still available for download. Therefore, while iPhones, iPods, and iPads will no longer be able to host the Wikileaks app, owners of Android-equipped devices might still be able to view it, provided the application is not also removed from Google.
