Sony FE 20 mm F1.8 G (model name SEL20F18G) is the new G series lens that expands the already vast range of native full-frame E-mount lenses.
Boasting beautiful bokeh effects and the exceptional resolution of the G series, the FE 20mm F1.8 G is a compact and lightweight ultra-wide-angle prime lens—the widest full-frame prime lens in the E-mount range—that allows you to capture breathtaking landscapes and starry skies, and record amazing videos with complete freedom.
The intelligent optical design features two AA (advanced aspherical) elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that effectively eliminate unpleasant chromatic aberration effects and ensure high image resolution from corner to corner, even at the maximum F1.8 aperture. Excellent for close-ups, it has a minimum focusing distance of just 0.19 meters (max. magnification: 0.2x) and incredibly smooth bokeh effects.
Compact design and versatility make the FE 20mm F1.8 G a complete solution, ideal for photographers and videographers. Weighing only 373g and with compact dimensions, the lens is extremely portable.
When used on compact E-mount bodies, within a well-balanced system, it is also ideal for use on gimbals or accessory grips. The use of two XD (eXtreme Dynamic) linear motors also offers fast, precise, and quiet autofocus for photos and videos. Dust and moisture resistant[i], the FE 20mm F1.8 G is easy to use and highly reliable, also thanks to the fluorine coating on the front element. The focus hold button is customizable, and the aperture ring features a click On/Off switch. The lens is also compatible with a range of 67mm filters for unparalleled creative use.
