Apple prepares the launch of iPad Air 2: here are its main features, according to the most reputable industry rumors.
There is very little time left until the release of the iPad Air 2 in Italy as well, and Apple is beginning to share the first useful information for awaiting its purchase.
The presentation event will take place on October 16, while sales will start on October 24, 2014, at least according to what is circulating in circles closest to Apple and as reported by the Re/Code website.
In the meantime, more and more details are starting to circulate online, providing a – rather likely but, it must be specified, still entirely unofficial – overview of the new tablet’s general features.
The rumored feature that is most striking – even visually – will be in its general appearance: the iPad Air 2 could indeed become the thinnest tablet ever, at least to date, in Apple’s history. The casing, although similar to previous models, would indeed see a reduction of 0.5 millimeters.
There will certainly be the fingerprint reader, allowing quick activation of a series of functions, with great simplicity.
As for the internal components, the presence of the Apple A8 processor is listed, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. Internal storage, on the other hand, would start from 32 GB, so – if all this is confirmed on the official presentation day – the 16 GB option would disappear entirely.
There will be two cameras, improved compared to the past: the main one will indeed be 8 megapixels and the secondary one will be improved, allowing for 720p video calls.
Some changes are also expected regarding the speakers: instead of two, there might be only one but with larger exit holes, so as not to compromise the sound equally.
Finally, it is learned that – according to recent rumors – among the available colors there will also be gold.
Official details are therefore expected to know the actual technical specifications of the iPad Air 2 and, above all, its selling price in Italy.
