Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, tablet with Barnes & Noble

Born from the collaboration between Samsung and Barnes & Noble, here is the new ebook tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook.

Samsung makes a foray into the mass publishing sector, offering a tablet – also suitable for reading ebooks – born from the collaboration established with Barnes & Noble, a giant in electronic publishing with its proprietary e-readers.
The new product is called Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook and will be available starting in the coming days, but for now, only for the US market.
In fact, no European release has been officially announced, so it is unknown if and when the ebook reader will be available for purchase in the Old Continent.
From a technical characteristics perspective, it is understood that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook runs on the Android operating system, although it is a modified and “branded” version – so to speak – by Barnes & Noble.
The available RAM is 1.5 GB, while the internal storage is 8 GB, expandable via microSD card up to a maximum of 32 GB.
The screen is 7 inches with an HD resolution of 1280Ă—800 pixels, topped by a 1.3-megapixel front camera; then there is the main rear camera, which is 3 megapixels.
Not much else is known, except that there will be two versions in terms of aesthetics: it will be possible to choose between a white and a black casing.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will be $179, placing this tablet/ebook reader in direct competition with Amazon’s Kindle devices.
What makes this device even more interesting is that upon purchase, you will automatically be entitled to a bonus of approximately $200, which can naturally be spent on the Nook Store.
