Wikipad Releasing This Summer: Gaming Tablet Features

The release of Wikipad, the tablet designed for the world of gaming, is imminent. Here is the price in America, while awaiting its arrival in Italy.

The gaming world is about to see a new release, referring to a gaming device and not a new title.
Wikipad, the gaming tablet, is finally arriving: after delays and the postponement of its official presentation, here comes the confirmed release date.
Wikipad will be available in the United States starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at a probable price of $249; for Europe and Italy, we will have to wait a few more weeks.
Wikipad’s technical specifications have been known for several months: the operating system is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, ensuring full compatibility with the Google Play Store.
The chosen processor is an NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor, supported by 1 GB of RAM and with 16 GB of internal memory available. The chassis features a slot for a microSD card, allowing for further expansion of internal storage.
The 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels perfectly fits the device, which allows users to play games and handle the device with a real controller.

Connectivity modules include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an HDMI output.
Regarding the camera, there is a 2-megapixel one: very minimal, but after all, the purpose for which this special tablet was designed is different.
According to the latest rumors, the upcoming release of a larger screen model is excluded: the company has reportedly decided to focus on a single size, the 7-inch one.
Further details are expected regarding the possible selling price of Wikipad in Italy.
