Official news about Apple’s next smartphone are still completely absent, however, rumors about iPhone 5S continue to arrive in abundance.

The latest pertains to some technical specifications, especially concerning the screen.
The Chinese website Weiphone has indeed reported receiving indications from sources with direct contacts with the assembly workers of the new smartphone.
According to these individuals, iPhone 5S would indeed feature the Retina Display but this time it would be a more performant detail: a significant increase in screen resolution has reportedly been decided.
Therefore, while the dimensions are expected to remain unchanged, the pixel density would double, going from the 730,000 pixels of iPhone 5 to a probable 1.5 million pixels for iPhone 5S.

It must be said that although Apple was a pioneer in high video quality displays, it now faces fierce competition: just consider the high resolution of the displays on many recently released smartphones to realize how much time has passed.
To find out if the technical characteristics of iPhone 5S will indeed evolve in this direction, we will have to wait at least until September, as this is the period considered likely for new releases.
