A new branded camera from Samsung is about to arrive, a mirrorless type: although an official press release announcement is still missing, it is possible to speak about the Samsung NX 1100 – this is its name – with a fairly high margin of certainty.
The reason is simple: the camera’s user manual was public on the official Samsung website for a few hours, then removed.
Furthermore, on some websites, the new Samsung NX 1100 is already available for pre-order, at an indicative price of $699.
All this suggests that the official launch will happen soon and that, in any case, the camera is effectively ready and its technical characteristics are known.
Let’s start with the sensor: a 20.3 Megapixel APS-C CMOS has been chosen, which guarantees ISO sensitivity from 100 to 12,800.
As for the integrated lens, it is a 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6, useful not only for taking photos – even in continuous shooting mode at 8fps – but also for potentially shooting HD videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
From a purely aesthetic point of view, the camera will be available in two of the most classic colors: the body can be white or black.
On the back, the screen naturally takes center stage: it’s a 3-inch LCD.
Not much else is known, except that the new Samsung NX 1100 is equipped with a Wi-Fi connection module, allowing easy sharing of captured photos or videos.
