Uploading a video to Youtube is now even simpler, if you use an Apple device: thanks to the new Youtube Capture app. Here’s how it works and the presentation video.
The YouTube staff announced the release of a new application designed to make a difference in terms of uploading videos to YouTube.
The new tool is called YouTube Capture and was designed for iOS and, specifically, for use on iPhone, on iPad and on iPod Touch.
With YouTube Capture uploading a video to the platform is very simple, as well as immediate: the app essentially becomes the most useful tool for recording a video and sharing it almost instantly on YouTube, when connected to the network.
In practice, the upload process begins when recording starts, but before approving publication, you can trim unwanted parts, add a soundtrack, or make some video editing modifications.
You will therefore perform a real editing session before proceeding with the actual publication of the video, which will then take place in a matter of seconds, without the need to wait much longer.
YouTube Capture is therefore available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and, although it was designed with particular attention for the iPhone 5, it also works on previous models, down to the iPhone 3GS.
Whether this is a sort of test to be launched first on iOS devices or if there is a specific launch strategy behind it is not yet clear: it sounds strange, in fact, that a Google product does not go through Android devices first but makes its debut on Apple terminals.
One thing seems certain: at the time of writing, it seems that no YouTube Capture app will be released for Windows Phone smartphones and tablets, while nothing is known about its availability for BlackBerry.
