While awaiting the offers from various mobile carriers, the prices of the iPhone 4s in Italy have been revealed: a real rip-off, as they are significantly higher than in other countries.
On the heels of the iPhone 4s presentation, we announced the prices of the new Apple device in Europe, assuming they would be aligned in Italy given that prices in other countries were consistently similar. Instead, it has become apparent that the prices of the iPhone 4s in Italy are quite different and, unfortunately for those wishing to purchase the new Apple smartphone, they are higher than the average. If we compare them to the prices proposed in America, the differences are even more striking.
It is already possible to pre-order the iPhone 4s on the Apple website, with delivery expected within a maximum of two weeks and no additional shipping costs, as these are included in the price. In stores, however, the release of the iPhone 4s remains set for October 28th.
These are the prices of the iPhone 4s in Italy:
- iPhone 4s 16 GB: 659 euros;
- iPhone 4s 32 GB: 779 euros;
- iPhone 4s 64 GB: 899 euros.
Currently, therefore, the iPhone 4s is the most expensive device in its category. Will this reality trigger a buying frenzy in our country as well? If the iPhone 4s achieved an unprecedented sales record in America, one wonders if the results in Italy will be equally encouraging, given the higher prices.
This is a setback for Italian users who, in the hope of saving a few euros, might wait for offers from mobile carriers who – as is tradition – will soon propose the new iPhone 4s at a lower price but bundled with subscriptions and specific tariff plans.
