Motorola Fire XT is the new dual SIM mobile phone from the historic American manufacturer. It runs Android and promises long battery life both in standby and during conversations.
Motorola is starting to announce its new releases scheduled for autumn and, in the dual SIM mobile phone category, presents the Motorola Fire XT. On paper, it appears to be a mid-range device, equipped with a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 512MB of RAM, an 800 MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera. Also noteworthy in terms of features are the LED flash, gyroscope, and light and proximity sensors.
According to the initial information officially released by Motorola itself, one of the main characteristics of the Fire XT will be its long battery life: indeed, there’s talk of just under a month in standby (specifically, 28 days) and 8 hours of talk time.
Regarding the operating system, this new dual SIM mobile phone will run Android, and more specifically Android 2.3.
The user interface used will be Moto Switch, which means that, despite being presented as a low-cost device, it allows for higher-level performance than “simple” consumer models: the characteristic of Moto Switch is precisely its ability to switch very intuitively and quickly from a simple and “basic” setting to a new professional configuration, thus geared towards using the Motorola Fire XT for work purposes.
Arriving in European stores in autumn, it will first debut in China during the month of August.
UPDATE November 21, 2011: Motorola Fire XT is on sale in Italy but not in the dual SIM version, which, as clarified by the press office we contacted, has been reserved exclusively for the Asian market.
