Backing up WhatsApp messages is becoming easier and easier, as you can also use Google Drive.
What's new in the latest WhatsApp update: from today, it is possible to archive messages sent via this instant messaging app, using the cloud.
In fact, it has been noticed that with the 2.12.203 upgrade – currently available for iOS users – entire conversations and individual messages can be easily saved, making them pass through the storage service Google Drive.
Simply mark the content you are interested in and then move it to your personal storage account.
The procedure is very simple and intuitive: all you have to do is press your finger on the phrase or photo or video you want to save, so as to “highlight” it.
At this point the usual menu already present will appear but in addition to the classic options for copying, pasting, deleting or forwarding, the new option “Important messages” will also appear, characterised by a star.
Just like a "bookmark" that we are used to when using navigation browsers, in this way the content of interest will remain selected.
In this way, it will be possible not only to trace messages that we might consider useful in the future but also to convey them – individually or “en masse” among those thus selected – on Google Drive.
Obviously, the possibility of proceeding in this direction presupposes the fact of already being the holder of an account on Google Drive, the cloud storage service of the Mountain View giant.
