The EOS R5 C is a powerful hybrid cinema camera that combines the professional shooting features of the Cinema EOS range with the stills capabilities of the EOS R System.
This new model integrates a high-resolution full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC X processor and RF mount, enabling the capture of ultra-high-quality 8K video and 45-megapixel stills with continuous shooting speeds of up to 20 fps. The new EOS R5 C, compact yet versatile, supports the needs of the new generation of content creators and solo professionals.
Furthermore Canon Canon EOS C70 also announces the release of a major firmware update for the renowned EOS C70 camera, which will further enhance the already excellent capabilities of the Cinema EOS range by adding 12-bit Cinema RAW Light recording.

EOS R5 C marks a new stage in the evolution of the Cinema EOS System by introducing internal 8K RAW video recording at 30p, and up to 60p with an external power supply. This ensures exceptional image clarity and endless post-production possibilities. Thanks to the active cooling system, many hours of high-quality 8K recording is possible.
Streamlined 8K workflows
EOS R5 C The camera records internally in Cinema RAW Light format to support high-fidelity 12-bit shooting, with wide dynamic range and color range, and manageable file sizes. Canon has also introduced three new RAW format modes: RAW HQ (High Quality), RAW ST (Standard Quality), and RAW LT (Light Quality), allowing users to select the mode that best suits their shooting needs and production workflow.
Versatility and connectivity
With EOS R5 CCanon offers professionals a versatile tool to help them meet the increasingly diverse demands of the market. Built using the innovative RF mount, featuring a short flange focal distance and a 12-pin connection for faster communication between camera body and lens, the EOS R5 C is compatible with Canon EF, RF and Cinema lenses, as well as third-party anamorphic lenses, to achieve a wider aspect ratio for the big screen.
Compact and durable body
To deliver the best of both worlds, the EOS R5 C features two separate operating systems for stills and video: the EOS R System and the Cinema EOS Interface. A 3-way dial allows for easy switching between the two modes and access to their settings. The new camera is also highly customizable with 13 programmable buttons and a wide range of professional video features.
