Booking.com Announces 10 Startups for Booster Program

Nearly 700 startups from 102 countries applied to the Booking.com Booster program, seeking seed funding of up to €500,000.

Booking.com, the world leader in providing accommodations for all types of travellers, has announced the 10 startup who will participate in its new accelerator program, Booking.com Booster. The aim of the program is to identify, mentor and fund start-ups from around the world that aim to have a positive impact on the global tourism industry. The 10 selected start-ups will participate in a 3-week program in Amsterdam in June, culminating in the possibility of obtaining seed funding of up to 500,000.

Nearly 700 startups from 102 countries applied to join the program. The United States, India, the Netherlands, Russia, and Italy topped the list with the highest number of applications.

The incredible passion and truly innovative business ideas emerging from startups from all corners of the globe has been truly inspiring,” said Gillian Tans, CEO of Booking.com. “We can’t wait to meet these 10 startups and learn how we can help them accelerate their growth plans to bring their vision of sustainable tourism to the world.”

The 10 startups that will participate in the Booking.com Booster program are:

  • MovingWorlds (USA and Colombia)
  • Authenticok (India);
  • Backstreet Academy (Singapore and South-East Asia);
  • Visit.org (USA);
  • Awake (Colombia);
  • Seabin (Australia and Spain);
  • MEJDI Tours (Israel and Palestine);
  • Desolation (UK);
  • Local Alike (Thailand);
  • Good Hotel (Guatemala, UK and Netherlands)
